Pregnancy makes a woman enter into an entirely new world. It is the most exciting yet a vital state for every woman. Remember that being pregnant makes a woman responsible for the life of the child that she carries in her womb. A pregnant woman needs special care in terms of nutrition and loads of love from partner and family members. It is very important for a pregnant woman to observe what she eats and drinks.

1.       Good Nutrition:  A pregnant woman needs to eat around 300 extra calories per day. A healthy diet should contain lean meats, fruits, vegetables, whole-grain breads, and dairy products that are low in fat. One should consume healthy stuff, not junk food. A perfect diet must include plenty of health foods such as yogurt, fruits, veggies, sprouts, etc.

2.       Consume more water: With adequate diet, intake of extra fluid is also very important. As per medical research, it is said that a woman's blood volume increases a lot during pregnancy. Therefore, it is important to consume more water to sustain a normal blood pressure. Drinking plenty of water each day helps in preventing most common pregnancy-related problems like dehydration and constipation.
